This is an interesting question to which anyone could, should, and would answer "yes... at least sort of".
Does having diabetes mean you are disabled?
An article by James Hirsch in the most recent DiaTribe issue discusses the issue from a very interesting viewpoint... that of the question being raised by a third-grade boy, his son. Hirsch himself has had type 1 diabetes for 33+ years.
I decided to include this as food for thought.
